CO2 Filter

The purpose of our product is to effectively reduce CO2 without a hefty price tag. We want to appeal to customers by offering them a cheaper alternative.

Business Proposition

2

1

In seven years, our planet may reach irreversible global warming due to many factors including carbon dioxide which is produced by combustion. CO2, also known as “carbon dioxide”, is a problem because it acts as a "greenhouse gas." Due to its molecular structure, CO2 absorbs and emits infrared radiation, warming the Earth's surface and the lower levels of the atmosphere. Greenhouse gases are  harmful for our planet because they have far-ranging environmental and health effects. They cause climate change by trapping heat, and they also contribute to respiratory diseases caused by smog and air pollution. Extreme weather, food supply disruptions, and increased wildfires are other effects of climate change caused by greenhouse gases. A typical passenger vehicle emits about 4.6 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year. This assumes the average gasoline vehicle on the road today has a fuel economy of about 22.0 miles per gallon and drives around 11,500 miles per year. Every gallon of gasoline burned creates about 8,887 grams of CO2.

After a detailed comparison, the research team from Stanford and MIT concluded that the cost of removal from the air is likely to be on the order of $1,000 per ton of carbon dioxide, compared with $50 to $100 per ton for current power-plant scrubbers. A simple attachment to your mode of gas fueled transportation will filter CO2 to stop it from flowing into the environment. We want people to buy this product because global warming is a problem in our society today. As individuals, we need to do  whatever we can to stop it. If we install this attachment on every vehicle that puts out carbon emissions, we can help slow down climate change.

To understand the durability of our CO2 filter in an exhaust pipe and what material to use, ,we first have to know the temperatures of the exhaust pipe. The highest temperatures that an exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe should ever reach would be approximately 850°C (1,600°F)

Type 309 is employed for parts requiring both corrosion and heat resistance and oxidation resistance up to 2000 °F.

2

Individual Parts

Stainless Steel Sheet

The stainless steel sheet will be used to build the body of the CO2 filter to fit in the exhaust pipe. Exhaust pipes come in different shapes and sizes, so we will adjust the length and the width of the CO2 Filter.

Stainless Steel Mesh Wiring

The mesh wiring could be used separately but they could also overlap one another. The wiring will be placed before the CO2 filter.

Hydrogen Peroxide

By combining the mesh wiring(s) to the Hydrogen Peroxide, the nitrogen oxide in CO2 will be captured and neutralized along with any other particles coming through the exhaust pipe.

Granular Activated Carbon Filter

Granular activated carbon is made from raw organic materials (such as coconut shells or coal) that are high in carbon. Heat... is used to increase (activate) the surface area of the carbon. The activated carbon removes certain chemicals that are dissolved in water passing through a filter containing GAC by trapping (adsorbing) the chemical in the GAC. Eventually, the ability of the GAC to bind and remove chemicals is used up and the GAC needs to be changed. While some filters may last for several years if contaminant levels and/or water use are low, higher levels or use may require more frequent change-outs.

3

CO2 Fish Scrubber

The fish CO2 scrubber is capable of “removing excess Carbon Dioxide from entering your aquarium through the protein skimmer.” Our miniaturized version of the CO2 Fish Scrubber will be used to channel the remaining CO2 out of the exhaust pipe. By using this technology we will be able to remove excess CO2 from the exhaust pipe.

Small Clamp Screw Pressure

This clamp will hold the CO2 filter to the exhaust pipe.

Bluetooth Chip

By using this chip, we can monitor the amount of CO2 that is being filter and converted into oxygen, while also connecting to the dashboard of the car. In this way, customers will be notified on real time about how much oxygen is being produce. The Bluetooth Chip will be in a thermal insulated chamber with a wire connecting the chip to the filter to collect the data. On outside the thermal insulated chamber will the stainless steel covering acting as an outer shell.

Wires

The wires will connect the Bluetooth Chip to the CO2 filter and will also be in a thermal insulated tube with the outer shell being stainless steel.

CO2 Collection Chamber

In this chamber, the collected CO2 will stored there until nearly full. The car owner will be notified of the chamber becoming nearly full and then can simply touch CO2 icon to let our employees know to send in a new CO collection chamber free of charge. We will use the collected CO2 to make biochar- a rich soil supplement used to help improve tree and bush intake of CO2, NO, and soil fertility. The CO2 collection chamber will be made up of the 309 SS (stainless Steel) material.

USB Adapter

The Bluetooth USB Adapter will be able to connect with the readings of the data from the Bluetooth Chip and provide that information directly to the car dashboard.

Customer Markets

For Our Fossil Fuel and Diesel Customers

By purchasing our CO2 Filter for your car, you too will be making a great contribution to ensuring that our planet lasts for future generations. We will use your CO2 to create fertilizer to help impact the Earth in a positive way.

By the year 2030, our planet could reach an irreversible tipping point in climate change, depending on how we handle the next ten years. We must reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. Human Activity is causing a CO2 increase by 250x since the last Ice Age, and we must stop that.

That is why we want to help save the planet. We are proposing the CO2 Car Filter. This is an internet of things device that will attach to your car to lower carbon emissions and help global warming.

This is how our CO2 Filter works and will slow down CO2 emissions.

Our exhaust filter system’s design plan includes a cylinder that goes on any transport vehicle’s exhaust pipe. The filter has an adjustable clamp to latch onto any size exhaust. The filter will have mesh wiring with hydrogen peroxide to neutralize the Nitrogen Oxide and a granular activated carbon filtration system to capture the rest of the bad molecules of CO2.

The components that make up this filter system to help prevent as much CO2 from being sent out consist of a clamp that wraps around the exhaust pipe, mesh wiring with hydrogen peroxide to neutralize nitrogen oxide, and a granular activated carbon filtration system. Collectively, these components will help reduce the CO2 emissions and trap some of the particles created from being in a car engine. We will then use the Carbon Dioxide that we capture to turn into Biochar which is a fertilizer for your plants, or trees.
